CUTERA® EXCEL V+: LASER GENESIS™
Best for: improving uneven skin texture, open pores and redness
An innovative treatment that targets a range of concerns for a truly radiant complexion. Employing gentle laser technology to stimulate the deep layers of the skin, it triggers the production of fresh collagen. The results? An improvement in the appearance of redness, veins, capillaries, large pores, acne scars, and even surgical scars. Treatment varies based on your specific skin needs but will generally range from a series of two to six or more sessions, spaced two to four weeks apart. Pain-free (some clients even say it’s relaxing!), it feels warm on the skin and requires no down time.
CUTERA® EXCEL V+: VASCULAR/PIGMENTED LESIONS
Best for: reducing and removing vascular or pigmented skin lesions
This powerful and precise laser technology offers two clinically proven wavelengths that treat lesions sized up to an impressive 16mm. The treatment possibilities are vast, from rosacea and diffuse redness to the removal of facial and leg veins, periorbital veins, angiomas, port wine stains, poikiloderma and some venous malformations. This laser may also be used to combat inflammatory acne and treat benign pigmented lesions and age spots.
FRAXEL® DUAL
Best for: addressing fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentation, acne scars, skin texture and tone
This advanced laser technology combines the two wavelengths (hence, ‘Dual’), to target both superficial and deep layers of the skin. Whether you're looking to reverse signs of ageing, improve sun damage, reduce wrinkles, or tackle pigmentation, this is a versatile solution. Its precision allows for targeted treatment, stimulating the skin's natural healing process and promoting the growth of new, healthy skin cells, enhancing your appearance. The minimal downtime makes it a popular choice for those seeking noticeable results without the inconvenience of a lengthy recovery period.

Fraxel and Fraxel Dual are both advanced laser systems used for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation, but they differ in the wavelengths of light they utilise, the specific skin concerns they address and the treatment options they offer. The key difference is that Fraxel Dual combines two wavelengths instead of one: 1550nm (similar to the original Fraxel) and 1927nm. The addition of the 1927nm wavelength expands the available treatment options, allowing for the targeting of pigmentation issues in the superficial layers of skin, as well as skin texture and tone, fine lines and wrinkles.

The Excel V+ integrates dual laser wavelengths into a single device, expanding its capability to address a range of conditions, spanning the superficial and deep. Notably, the Excel V+ boasts 50% greater power compared to its precursor, the Excel V, and also includes new applicators – one designed for treating larger areas, and another precision-focused handpiece for targeting smaller issues. This empowers your clinician to customise the treatment to precisely match your skin’s needs.

Laser Genesis is a noninvasive laser that gently heats the upper layer of the skin by administering micro-pulses of laser light at a 1064nm wavelength, promoting collagen production to improve the look of fine lines, wrinkles and scars, and giving good glow. On the other hand, Cutera’s V+ laser combines two powerful and precise lasers to target and treat visible veins, discolouration and pigmentation.
